breakinger's review: I've had this card for about a year now and it's taken me a long time to accumulate the points on it. I found out that 1000 points only gets you $5 off at your local Kroger store. Only getting a small amount off doesn't seem worth it to me. I've also had an issue with sending money through Western Union using the card. Apparently, they considered it to be a cash advance purchase and I was charged another $20. I don't think I'll be holding onto this card much longer.

Good information! Was unaware of the low rewards return on this US Bank product. As I read in the great internet world I see cards that offer 2% to 3% and even more for groceries. Cannot remember who they are right now but, you may want to research for a replacement card with better rewards especially groceries.

Yeah, the rewards are okay. If you earn $5 for every 1000 points and earn points at a rate of 1/$1 your're only earning .5% back. You earn 2 points per dollar at Kroger stores (1%) and an additional point on Kroger branded items, (1.5%). For use exclusively at Kroger you would be okay, most cash back cards only offer 1.5% back anyway but some have 2% or 3% rewards at grocery stores in general.

Oh it dawned on me that the Citi Double Cash Master Card gives you 2% on everything. May want to investigate the card. No AF.

Thanks, wanderer. I will definitely check out the Citi Double's card. That card seems like the rewards are much better than this one. I do a lot of shopping at groceries stores especially around this time of the year and it would be nice to earn points faster and at multiple stores.
